The 10 commandments

1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble,
but it is a "steering wheel" that directs
the right path through-out.

2] Do you know why a Car's WINDSHIELD is so large & the Rear view Mirror
is so small? Because our PAST
is not as important as our FUTURE. So,Look Ahead and Move on.

3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes
years to write.

4] All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will
not last forever. If going wrong, don't
worry, they can't last long either

5] Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond,
don't forget the Gold! Because to
hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!

6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from
above and says, "Relax, sweetheart,
it's just a bend, not the end!

7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when
GOD doesn't solve your problems
HE has faith in your abilities.

8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: "Can there be anything worse than
losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes,
losing your vision!

9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them and
sometimes, when you are safe and
happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES, it takes away
today's PEACE.

If you really enjoy, please pass to others. It may brighten someone's
day.

Mental Culture Gained by Bible Study

By knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Prov. 24:4. {RC 162.1}
For the mind and the soul, as well as for the body, it is God's law that strength is acquired by effort. It is exercise that develops. In harmony with this law, God has provided in His Word the means for mental and spiritual development. {RC 162.2}

The Bible contains all the principles that men need to understand in order to be fitted either for this life or the life to come. And these principles may be understood by all. No one with a spirit to appreciate its teaching can read a single passage from the Bible without gaining from it some helpful thought. But the most valuable teaching of the Bible is not to be gained by occasional or disconnected study. Its great system of truth is not so presented as to be discerned by the hasty or careless reader. . . . The truths that go to make up the great whole must be searched out and gathered up, "here are little, and there are little" (Isa. 28:10). {RC 162.3}

When thus searched and brought together, they will be found to be perfectly fitted to one another. Each Gospel is a supplement to the others, every prophecy and explanation of another, every truth a development of some other truth. The types of the Jewish economy are made plain by the gospel. Every principle in the Word of God has it place, every fact its bearing. And the complete structure, in design and execution, bears testimony to its Author. Such a structure no mind but that of the Infinite could conceive or fashion. {RC 162.4}

In searching out the various parts and studying their relationship, the highest faculties of the human mind are called into intense activity. No one can engage in such study without developing mental power. {RC 162.5} And not alone in searching out truth and bringing it together does the mental value of Bible study consist. It consists also in the effort required to grasp the themes presented.

The mind occupied with commonplace matters only, becomes dwarfed and enfeebled. If never tasked to comprehend grand and far-reaching truths, it after a time loses the power of growth. As a safeguard against this degeneracy, and a stimulus to development, nothing else can equal the study of God's Word. {RC 162.6}

As a means of intellectual training, the Bible is more effective than any other book, or all other books combined. . . . No other study can impart such mental power as does the effort to grasp the stupendous truths of revelation. The mind thus brought in contact with the thoughts of the Infinite cannot but expand and strengthen.--Education, pp. 123, 124. {RC 162.7}

What I am not

I'm not the clothes i wear

I'm not the house i live in

I'm not the neighborhood i stay

I'm not the job i work

I'm not the food i eat

I'm not the car i drive or will drive

I'm worth far much more that any wealth variable

It is not I that live, someone worth far much more is inside of me

The Easiest way to be Chartered Accountant in South Africa

Dear all
If you want to be a CA(SA) -Chartered Accountant (South Africa) in th least number of years I suggest you follow this plan.
1. Study to become a Chartered Management Accounting through CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accounting)
2. CIMA members who wish to obtain the CA(SA) designation

The SAICA Board has approved the following for CIMA members wishing to obtain the CA(SA) designation in order to become members of SAICA:

  • A CTA or equivalent and writing Part 1 of the Qualifying Examination; and
  • Application for recognition of previous service (experience) of which a maximum of 12 months will be granted as remission towards the three-year training contract in a TOPP organisation (ie with an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) in commerce and industry.) These applicants will in other words still need to complete two years of a training contract with an ATO.
  • CIMA members would thus be exempt from the financial management specialism course and Part 2 of the Qualifying Examination.

If you have any further questions regarding the CA(SA) qualification and these exemptions, please contact Adri Kleinhans at adrik@saica.co.za.
